Joseph Epstein removes the rose from the (Harold) Bloom in the latest Hudson Review. Choice bit: Bloom says he discovered himself, in the midst of his psychoanalysis, “paying [his own analyst] to give him lectures several times a week on the proper way to read Freud.” Now there’s a shrink who actually earns his money.
